Pleasance Courtyard
Since 2015, I have been the resident close-up magician at the iconic Pleasance Courtyard during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This venue allows me to connect intimately with my audience, delivering close-up, roaming magic that truly astounds. Each August, I entertain hundreds of guests, making every performance a unique and delightful experience.

‘The Magic of Jim' is my one-man cabaret show that combines interactive elements with energising magic. This show encourages audience participation, making it an unforgettable addition to any event. I had a sell-out run in 2015 and returned for successful shows in 2016 and a full run in 2022 at The Pleasance Courtyard. Reviews from Fringe Guru and Venue 40 praise my performances, noting that I embody what's best about the Fringe. Edinburgh Fesitval Fringe
As a resident in Edinburgh, I have been performing in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe throughout my career as a magician. Show casing my one-man cabaret ticketed show in 2015, 2016 and 2022. I was awarded a special commission from the Edinburgh Art Festival in 2018 to put on a magic show with a political edge. In addition to all this, I have been entertaining audiences with my close-up magic every year since 2009.
