Honey and I had a massive lie in today, we didn’t get up until 11.30am, just what I needed 🙂
After our ‘morning’ walk, I had breakfast, followed by lunch, outside with a pot of coffee 🙂
Then after some more chilling out, went for a mammoth walk on Arthur’s Seat via The Meadows.
It was a nice day, but there was a cold wind that brought a chill in the air!
The Meadows was super busy, with lots of groups of people (probably students) sitting on the grass, playing games (lots of touch rugby) and other things.
There was an excitement of energy in the air. I so like that feeling and loved just walking through it all.
Honey found some new friends, students having a drink and eating snacks !
As we walked through Arthur’s Seat there was a feeling of ‘newness’ in the air. I am not quite sure what that means, but I found myself strolling slowly, noticing birds flying and the different colours, admiring the wonderment of it all – it felt like it was the first time I had been here!
Such a lovely afternoon walk 🙂
On the way back I spotted some new Covid signs outside Summerhall.
This evening Danny came round to the boat (he is in my bubble) and we had some food and sang old songs through my Bluetooth speaker / using Spotify. If felt like what one would have done in the day, playing vinyl, but now with a click of a button we could reminisce of songs we loved when we were younger!
Lockdown Restrictions Corner
It feels like we are forever waiting for lockdown restrictions to be eased, but don’t know when that will be. It’s definitely coming, but we are just waiting. There is talk that pubs could be open for outside / beer garden use in April and for inside use from May, but there are no firm dates, just waiting on data coming in. There is suggestion that next week Nicola is going to announce from 15th March, two households will be able to meet up to 4 people.
The big question that is on everyone’s mind in Edinburgh is whether the Edinburgh Fringe is going to go ahead. Of course, it will go ahead in one form another – virtually or in real life, but ultimately people living in Edinburgh see the fringe as in real life. Venues and shows are saying they need to know soon, for planning, etc…and if it will ever come back at all!
It is all so uncertain and unsettling at the moment !!
Nostalgia Corner
We are heading back to Sunday 28th September 2020 and Fi’s 40th Birthday party. That was Day 188 !!
I love this wee video – especially the music that goes with it.
Check the video out below 🙂
As I come to the end of this blog, I am feeling relaxed and chilled out, just what I needed 🙂
Tomorrow is the meditation group, so no lie in for me 🙁
The new style format for the start and beginning of the blog makes things a lot easier. As I just need to pop out of Discovery for a photo at the end of the night – although the photo in this section hasn’t come out so well with the bright lights!
Hope you’ve had a fab Saturday.
