Day 278 – Reflections on Lockdown

posted in: Stories | 0

I continue to take a wee break from this blog, as it’s Boxing Day and my energy to switch on my computer is not there, so writing this on my phone!

Today it’s been very stormy – with rain and very windy, Discovery has been blown about all day (and still is), rocking to sudden gusts of wind and creaking lots. So I’ve spent a good part of the day lying on the sofa with the fire going watching movies! What else do you do on Boxing Day when all the shops are shut due to entering another full lockdown?  I have lockdown fatigue, but I’m sure the key message is ‘Stay at Home’ !!

About 3pm Honey and I headed to the flat (in the hire car) and I sorted out a lot of the remaining stuff in my flat, booking a slot at the recycle centre for tomorrow. Then loaded the car up and came back here to the boat.

This evening I don’t feel so well and think I’m coming down with a cold. I checked online and don’t have any Covid symptoms, think it’s just a cold. So just had a Lemsip and will head to bed shortly. Honey has spent the evening eating her bone, she was gnawing on it through the night and I had to take it off her as it woke me up 🙂

Hope you’ve all had a good Boxing Day!
