Day 192 – Reflections on Lockdown

posted in: Stories | 0

Due to missing a day at the start of my holiday, I am a ‘Day’ behind – so although yesterday’s blog was Day 190, today is Day 192, I think that is correct.  I will double check counting all the days through my diary tomorrow.

Today I have not had the most productive day, catching up on emails, etc…since coming home.  I returned the hire car back to the QPark at the Omni Centre and took some photos for the blog!

Then met up with my friend Kenny for the Soul Food community meal.  They were super generous, giving me an extra meal for Honey – it was chicken!  She was very happy 🙂

Face-Mask Corner

Today we have Robin.

Robin got his face-mask from – www.wearmaask.com, who provide reusable, ethical and sustainable face coverings.  They donate two medical grade face-masks for every Maask face-mask sold.

Thanks Robin, I’m needing a new one, so will check out Wear Maask.

Readers Corner

Thanks for all your lovely comments whilst I was away!  It’s great to see that you all enjoyed my VLOGs, I enjoyed making them!  Was a nice change to writing something everyday and may do this more in Edinburgh.  Was great choosing some tunes too in the last few VLOGs which were relevant to my mood and the location, etc…

I think I have included all of them, 13 comments in total!.  They are in ascending order, the earliest first.

As I come to the end of today’s blog I feel I have lost the inspiration to write!  After a week of making VLOGs rather than writing I feel out of practice.  I haven’t had much energy today, still recovering from my holidays.  I need to get back into a routine and start running again.  I always find the transition from being away hard, getting back into a routine is the most challenging part.

I’ve noticed a big difference in the light, being darker a lot earlier than when I went away.

The weather feels like autumn, which has also crept up on me since I went away.  It’s been dry, but the feeling of Autumn in the air.  I always find this time of year hard, as the nights get darker, my mood drops.  Last year I bought a SAD lamp, I will have to look for that and start using it again.

Hope you’ve been having a good week.

Jim & Honey x
