Today the Indian Summer has fully arrived!! It was so warm, I had all my flat windows open and was still to hot!! As I reflected a couple of weeks ago, it feels so much different having this warm weather now, rather for example in April. In April, there is this feeling of excitement “is this weather going to last the whole summer?”, is the thinking. Where as now, in September its more like “will this last another day, before we head towards the Autumn and Winter?”. The excitement is very different.
After yesterday’s blog (Day 175) and talking about the new ‘Rule of 6’, Anna messaged me with the correct details. When ever I write ‘Rule of 6’, I think of the ‘Birmingham Six‘, who were prominent in the news throughout most of my childhood!
Anyway Anna explained that the Rule of 6 is different in different countries, adding she doesn’t know all the details, but:
- Scotland it’s just 2 households up to 6 people (indoors & outdoors).
- England it’s as many households up to 6 people (indoors & outdoors).
- Wales its 3 households (indoors only) up to 6 people.
- England young children count as one of the 6.
- Scotland children under 12 years old don’t get counted as part of the 6.
- Wales children under 11 years old don’t get counted as part of the 6.
- Outside – England & Scotland 6 people, but not in Wales.
- Outside – Wales can have up to 30 people.
- Outside – Ireland is different again.
- Outside – Scotland children under 12 don’t count as part of the 6.
She suggests it will be easier to enforce in England because anyone over a group of 6 people is breaking the law. Where as in Scotland, need to know how many households there are.
So there you have it – it’s all very confusing 😉
Today, I returned to Next to buy a pair of jeans. I dug out an old pair of Next from home and took them with me, to use the size and leg fit to get something similar, so I knew they would fit. Worked perfectly!
I then went to Princess Street Gardens to enjoy the sunshine. Stumbled across this statue of a man and a bare.
Then headed up to the computer shop to collect some badges I had got made for me. Graeme was there, so he posed for a Face-Mask photo!
On our evening walk there was a beautiful view of the sun going down.
Face-Mask Corner
Today we have Graeme.
Graeme bought is face-covering from Wish, which is a shop in China.
Thanks Graeme! Think you are the first face-covering, rather than a face-mask 🙂
Readers Corner
Just one post today from Pat.

Pat commented about Fi’s video of the windy and wet weather in Canna, which appeared in yesterday’s blog (Day 175). He said:
“! Would Love To Be On The Island With Weather Like That… Always Loved This Kind Of Weather… Stay Safe and Stay Well Mate…“.
I think the Canna islanders would see that as just a breeze in comparison to what they experience through the winter 😉

Nothing in here today 🙁
As I come to the end of today’s blog, I am super tired, finding it hard to stay awake to write this!
This morning I was in back-to-back meetings, about applying for some more money from the national lottery. This afternoon I was in town.
The weather has been so so warm, cloudy and hazy, but warm. A warmth in the air. It’s still warm tonight.
Hope you are all adjusting to the Rule of 6 and had a good day.
