Today the ‘Rule of Six’ began in England, Scotland and Wales. In England and Scotland only 6 people can gather both inside and outside, from only two households. In Wales it’s the same rule but just inside. I think that is right?
At lunchtime on our run around Arthur’s Seat, on the way back, there were 8 people sitting on Holyrood Park – they looked like students. It’s going to be a tough time being limited to so few people. Also interesting to see how they enforce it.
I did read, that if you live on your own and single (that’s me) and you have formed a ‘bubble’ with another household (I haven’t), which we could have done a while back. Then that is classed as one household – so then that household can meet with another.
I never formed a “bubble” with another household, so in theory, I can do that now and then meet with two other households. I think that is correct?
We take a while to get used to a new rule, until it is part of life and living – then it all gets changed!!
After doing a bit of work after Chi Gong, Honey and I went for a run round Arthur’s Seat. Same route as usual, but not up Arthur’s Seat, just 8km. Was really warm and quite quiet.
But near the swan lake at the back of Arthur’s Seat we ran past Callum. I know Callum from Heb Celt and the celtic music scene, he is part of the Celtic Energy Gang 🙂
Was great to have a wee catch-up with Callum.
Callum is back to University in Edinburgh, which he said he was looking forward to, although will be very different. He is starting his final year.
The rest of the day consisted of meetings on Zoom and meetings on the telephone.
Face-Mask Corner
Nothing in here today:(
Why not do a selfie right now of you wearing your face-mask and send it over to me, to appear in here?!
Readers Corner
We have two posts in here today.
Anna
Anna sent me her latest painting that she did via The Paint Republic, saying it was a card for a friend’s birthday.
Amazing!! Cannae wait for my Birthday Card next year 😉
Fi
Fi sent me a message straight after reading yesterday’s blog (Day 174) and the mention of an ‘Indian Summer’ in Edinburgh.
She said (from the Isle of Canna):
“No Indian summer here today. Just a howling gale and a cancelled ferry “.
She provided evidence too 😉
Och well, hope you have survived! Maybe you will get an Indian Summer next week, just in time for your Birthday!
It Made Me Smile
Nothing in here either 🙁
Music Corner
Nothing in here either today. Please send any favourite tunes of playlists to be included in here.
As I come to the end of today’s blog, I realise they are definitely getting shorter and shorter. One week to go and I will have reached the half way point.
It will be interesting to see how the new ‘rule of six’ pans out over the coming weeks and will we just get used to it, like everything else?
This evening the Edinburgh Magic Circle had it’s first meeting of the new season (75th Year). Was good to connect with everyone again, but weird being on Zoom.
Today the weather has been really warm and mild. Like yesterday there was a warmth in the air. It hasn’t been that sunny, but very pleasant to be out. At least it wasn’t like Canna 😉
Hope you’ve had a nice start to your week.
Thanks for reading.
