Today I seem to have got lots done!
This morning I finished downsizing my belongings in my spare room and started to put the shelves back up – I took them down to paint that room.
Honey and I then ventured across the city to visit Helen on her boat – we got the bus there. As we walked along the canal I realised how warm it was. There was a breeze, but there was warmth in the air, so the wind was warm too!
Was good to see the bar Akva was open – using it’s beer garden area for people to sit and have a drink.
After spending some time with Helen, I decided to walk home, to give Honey a walk.
As we headed through the grassmarket, there was such a hive of people enjoying the sun. Sitting on the grass on the hill above and sitting outside in various bars and restaurants. It had a European feel to it, with so many people outside and such lovely weather.
Was a lovely walk all the way home and got to explore a part of the city I don’t often go to!
Despite everyone socially distanced outside dining, the crowds gathering listening to some musicians were not socially distanced!
Face-Mask Corner
On our way home, after the grassmarket, I decided to drop in to an Italian Ice Cream parlour to get an ice-cream. When I was there I suddenly remembered I had no one for Face-Mask Corner, so I asked the lady serving me if I could take a photo of her for it. She declined, but said I could take a photo of her colleague!
This is getting quite weird asking randoms if I can take a photo of them.
So today we have Alex.
Alex said his friend made his face-mask.

Helen sent me a message earlier today saying:
“Hi Jim, I was going to share a playlist with you. I watched the 2001 Tomb Raider film last night. And I wanted to listen to the soundtrack today. I’ve got the cd somewhere. And I might even have a cd player somewhere too! So I checked Spotify and this is the first time Spotify has let me down. Only 6 of the 15 songs are available there

So alas no album or music to share here today. But it’s a thought that counts 🙂
As I come to the end of the blog, I am really tired. It’s been a busy, but chilled out day. Honey has spent the evening sleeping on the sofa!
The weather has been great. Our Indian Summer is here 🙂 – there was a lovely warmth in the air today, which you could feel in the breeze.
