Day 159 – Reflections on Lock-Down

posted in: Stories | 0

The last two days I have had no interest in writing this blog, dragging myself to switch on the computer and reluctantly writing something.  I guess, like all my yearly challenges, there are ups and downs and sometimes want to just quit it all.  As I usually start them at the beginning of the year, I can notice similar patterns, I would be just starting June, if I had started writing on 1st January.

Today, I’ve had a Lockdown Day, Staying at Home, lying on the sofa and watching Netflix.  I have been super tired and not had much motivation to do anything.  Honey and I went for a walk on Arthur’s Seat, bought some food and cooked it, then returned to more Netflix.  That’s about it!

As we headed up Easter Road, I noticed the bunting out on Rossie Place, not sure what is happening there?  I think they usually put that up for Doors Open Day (last weekend in September) and the annual Colony of Artists exhibition.  I can’;t even put it down to this being the bank holiday weekend, as it’s not a bank holiday in Scotland, just the rest of the UK.  We get this bank holiday on 2nd January instead.

Any Edinburgh folk know what is going on?

Face-Mask Corner

Today we have Gilbert in Face-Mask Corner, who was at the gathering last night (Day 158).

He said the face-mask is from a knitwear company called Mars Knitware.  It’s a mixture of polyester and an anti-bacteria yarn.  Made individually for both adults and children in Leicester

I love your face-mask Gilbert, I may get one myself 🙂

He was also keen to show me the inside of it, it looks very comfortable!

Readers Corner

Just one sharing today.

Pat

Pat left a comment on Facebook about yesterday’s blog (Day 158) saying:

“One Of My Favourite Tunes The Galloping Of Black Beauty…. Stay Safe and Stay Well All…☘️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿☘️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿”.

Me too!  Thanks for the comment Pat 🙂

It Made Me Smile

Nothing in here today 🙁

Music Corner

Today we have another playlist from Hannah, called EpicCinematic, she says:

EpicCinematic is fairly self explanatory – lots of different tracks from movie scores that I thought were particularly beautiful or powerful. motivates me when i’m doing various menial admin tasks and makes me feel like a badass.

So here it is EpicCinematic – Songs that will make you fell badass while you conquuer that menial admin task.

As I come to the end of today’s blog it is so short, well apart from all the sections!

My motivation to write this blog for the last couple of days has been minimal, but I’ve committed for a year, so that is what I am going to do.

Hopefully, I will have a newness of energy in the near future.
